Pre & Post-Natal Pilates

Breathe Studio & Spa is proud to offer classes for clients wanting to focus on pre and post-natal health; providing the most comprehensive fitness and wellness programs in the Low-country. The studio features Pilates mat and reformer classes based on Jennifer Gianni’s Fusion Pilates™ for Pregnancy.

All pre & post-natal clients must have their doctor’s approval for physical exercise prior to attending any classes. Clearance forms may be supplied to Breathe Pilates Studio & Spa staff or emailed to hello@breathepilates.us attn: Owner, Elizabeth Bridwell

Once a client's clearance form is received she may register for any All Levels or Levels I & II barre, Pilates mat or yoga classes. Prior experience is required for all Pilates equipment classes. More information is available here

Private Pilates Reformer Session

This is a fifty-five minute one-on-one intensive session with one of our highly trained instructors. This in depth session uses various Pilates equipment including the Cadillac, Reformer, and Wunda Chair (among many others) to gently, but effectively prepare a woman’s body for the riggers of childbirth and/or tone and help her “get her body back” after delivery. The Breathe Pilates Pre & Post-natal Method is based on Jennifer Gianni’s Fusion Pilates™ for Pregnancy and helps restore the pelvic floor, close a diastasis or regain abdominal strength after a c-section.

*Please note that the term “private session” refers to the client – instructor ratio. In some instances, studio may be occupied by other clients with sessions at the same time. If you prefer, studio may be completely free of other clients / instructors for an additional fee. Please inquire at the Front Desk or call 843.884.4420

Semi-Private Pilates Reformer Session

This is a shared (2 person) fifty-five minute intensive session with one of our highly trained instructors. This in depth session uses various Pilates equipment including the Cadillac, Refomer, and Wunda Chair (among many others) to gently, but effectively prepare a woman’s body for the riggers of childbirth and tone and help her “get her body back” after delivery. The Breathe Pilates Pre & Post-natal Method is based on Jennifer Gianni’s Fusion Pilates™ for Pregnancy and helps restore the pelvic floor, close a diastasis or regain abdominal strength after a c-section.

*We recommend taking 3 privates before attempting a semi-private.

If you need assistance finding a partner to accompany you to a semi-private session, please let us know. We will do our best to help find a fellow Breathe client who shares your same schedule. Please keep in mind that once you’ve been paired with another client with our assistance – and you’ve both confirmed a session time that’s been added to our schedule – the appointment session is non-cancelable.

Reformer Group Class

The Reformer Group Class is a full fifty-five minute body workout with one of our highly trained instructors. This in-depth class uses the Reformer to gently, but effectively prepare a woman’s body for the riggers of childbirth and/or tone and help her “get her body back” after delivery. The Breathe Pilates Pre & Post-natal Method is based on Jennifer Gianni’s Fusion Pilates™ for Pregnancy and helps restore the pelvic floor, close a diastasis or regain abdominal strength after a c-section.

*Before taking a Group Reformer Class you must complete one Private Reformer Session or one our FREE “Pilates Basics” INTRO Session.

Pilates Mat Class

The Pilates Mat Class is a full fifty-five minute body workout with one of our highly trained instructors. This in-depth class uses Pilates-specific mats especially for our pregnant clientele to gently, but effectively prepare a woman’s body for the riggers of childbirth and/or tone and help her “get her body back” after delivery. The Breathe Pilates Pre & Post-natal Method is based on Jennifer Gianni’s Fusion Pilates™ for Pregnancy and helps restore the pelvic floor, close a diastasis or regain abdominal strength after a c-section.
